Our Philosophy

We use the latest research to find the best sleep plan for you and your family.

In order to determine the best sleep plan for your family, we feel it is important to assess your child’s sleep pattern over a 24-hour period. In our experience, our clients have had success with their sleep plans using a variety of methods. However, that success has relied on the timing of a child’s sleep. Once a child is overtired, it becomes very difficult to get him/her to sleep regardless of the method used.

At Sleep Matters, we don’t subscribe to only one method of getting children to sleep. Allison and Adrienne are very knowledgeable about several different “techniques” and it is their job to match you with the best option for your situation. Regardless of which “technique” you and your consultant decide on, you will be fully supported.

Support is an important ideal Adrienne and Allison have put into practice at Sleep Matters. They find many parents feel isolated and even feel guilty when their children are not sleeping well. Support is available every step of the way. We provide this support through class group discussion, during one-on-one phone consults or simply by encouraging parents as they learn how to address their children’s sleep issues.

The Sleep Matters philosophy is rooted in the concept that all babies and children need sleep to live happy, healthy lives -- and so do their parents! With the right tools and information, parents should expect that their children can sleep. We hope by taking the steps to improve your child’s sleep, everyone in your household will reap the rewards of being well-rested.
